Puhoi Rural Fire Force is an amazing team of currently 14 female and male volunteer firefighters who are on call 24/7 in order to protect the Puhoi and greater rural community.

whenever our services are requested
As well as responding to more than 600 callouts in the Rodney area since 2007, Puhoi Rural Volunteer firefighters have responded to calls of assistance from as far afield as
the Christchurch Earthquake in 2011
The Great Barrier Island Fire of 2013
and the Australian wildfires in Victoria
several times
in the past few years.
